After a long time apart, I was able to reconnect with Aunt Winnie about 5 years ago and what a pleasant surprise! What an incredible lady! I don't live in the area, but I got to visit a few times and every few months, we'd have some delightful phone calls. I remember her dream of writing a book. We talked often about it, but I don't know how far she got. Our conversations were about political science and family, staying active throughout the life course, writing, and positive living. What a joy to have known her as who she was these last few years! I will truly miss her.
