Kenneth L Burgwardt, age 87, of Orchard Park, died Friday, January 22, 2016 at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, NY. Mr. Burgwardt was born November 22, 1928 in Hamburg, NY. He is the son of the late Lester C and the late Anna (Meyers) Burgwardt. He married Geraldine Riemer.
Beloved husband for 65 years of Geraldine H. (Riemer) Burgwardt; dearest father of Dennis K. (Maureen Nash). Randy F. (Cheryl) Burgwardt and Lynnette S. (David) Benzinger; loving grandfather of Jesse, Daniel, Tara, Christie, Jason, Amanda and Jolene; cherished great-grandfather of 11 beautiful children.
Ken owned and operated K. L. Burgwardt Construction. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers for 60 years, Erie County Agricultural Society and an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Agricultural Society and an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He also raised and showed Charolais Beef Cattle and was an avid bee keeper.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4536 South Buffalo Street, Orchard Park, NY. Please assemble for Prayers at the Funeral Home at 10:00am. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Orchard Park.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 26 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM & 7:00pm - 9:00pm at F. E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 6575 East Quaker Street, Orchard Park, NY.
