Eleanor A. Ralyea, age 95, of Orchard Park, died Monday, May 30, 2016 at home in Orchard Park. Mrs. Ralyea was born October 31, 1920 in Royal Oak, MI. She is the daughter of the late Henry and the late Agnes (Sweier) Schwager.
Beloved wife of the late Robert Ralyea, loving mother of Robert (Judi) Ralyea, MaryAnne Ralyea, Christine (Joseph) Stewart, grandmother of Rob, Erika and Bryan, great-grandmother of Robert and Gregory, cherished aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was a warm, generous, and kindhearted soul who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She graduated as a registered nurse from Mercy College in Detroit, Michigan and proudly served as an Army Air Corps flight nurse in World War II. She moved to Orchard Park after the war and was a school nurse in the Orchard Park school system for many years.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 3 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at F. E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 6575 East Quaker Street, Orchard Park, NY
The funeral will be held 9:30 am on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 26 Thorn Avenue, Orchard Park, NY. A prayer service will be held 8:45 am on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at F. E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 6575 East Quaker Street, Orchard Park, NY. Burial will be in Nativity of Our Lord Cemetery, Orchard Park on Saturday
