My friendship with Nancie dates back to the 1940s when we rode the yellow school bus together down Milestrip Road . She had a bright smile to share and a cheerful attitude whenever our paths crossed over the many decades that followed. Always ready to reminisce about our neighborhood friends and how things were going, our conversations were full of laughter.. I remember her brother, Jack, as well. Nancie and those of her era were a lovely part of the history of old Orchard Park....a post-war era that's gone forever. She was a wonderful person and I remember her with much fondness.
