Frederick C. Nuessle, MD born December 1, 1929 passed away on March 19, 2022 at 92. Fred grew up in the Fruit Belt on Lemon Street in Buffalo. He attended Fosdick-Masten High School where he played the trumpet and french horn in the band. He graduated in 1947. He attended University of Buffalo undergrad and graduated with a BA in Science and then went on to UB Medical School and graduated with a Doctorate in Medicine in 1956. He did a general practice internship and residency at EJ Meyer and Mercy Hospitals in Buffalo. He met Donna Dygert, RN at Buffalo General Hospital and they were married on June 12, 1956. They had a wonderful warm and loving home together in Orchard Park until Donna's death in 2003. He had a very large and busy Family Medicine practice in West Seneca from 1957-1991. His practice is currently on its third generation on doctors. He left his practice to train and worked for the NYS Workman Compensation Board from 1991-1994. He continued to do compensation and insurance exams until his retirement in 2009. His hobbies were making wooden toys, reading and gardening at his house and those of his children. He spent every summer at his cottage on beautiful Keuka Lake. He is survived by his children, Cathy (Russell) Williams, Fred (Bonnie), Judy (Edward) Piotrowski and Peter (Heidi), 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He often organized Euchre card groups at the East Aurora Senior center and one day a newcomer showed up. Beverly Mallon was something special and they had a lot in common in background and friends. He always said that their union was sent from heaven. He and Bev had a fun and loving relationship from 2014 until his death. He lived many years in East Aurora and most recently lived at Orchard Heights in OP. "Dr. Nuessle, "Doc" to so many, was a family doctor who took care of multigenerational families who all loved and respected him. He was a true gentleman, the last of a generation of selfless, powerful, quiet and loving men. He was always there with help, support and guidance for everyone but most of all for his children. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. No Prior Visitation.
