Mr. Moden was my study hall teacher at West Seneca West Junior High School on Center Road. I believe it was 1965-1966 or 1966-1967. He was a very nice teacher to look up to. He will be sadly missed. Prayers to the Moden family.

Picture this....Walking down the hall of West Seneca East, to attend an open house where your son has the same great American Studies teacher you had. And then having him greet you, knowing your name before you even say whose parent you are! And, he knew the year I graduated and the class I was in, along with the other students in the class! What an amazing man! My son, Steven Dunning, thought he was amazing also. I am sad to say, we were out of town these past 2 weeks and just heard of your dad's passing. We are saddened at his passing, but know that he is truly home, and at peace.

I remember when his wife passed away, I was in 11th grade and he was my teacher. My mom was the nurse that helped the family when his wife went to the ER. I remember that because of that he was always watching out for me in school. He also gave me a love of history that I didn't have till I had him.

I so much appreciated Mr. Moden's honesty and realism. Although he was wrong about Greenspan (smile to those who know about that) I really appreciated him.

I graduated in 1999, and Mr. Moden was one of the best teachers I ever had the pleasure of knowing. The world is a better placing having had him in it. His family and friends are in my thoughts.

Mr. Moden, I never had you as a teacher but your presence in the halls and the last steps I took off the stage you smiled at me and I remember you told me "Good Luck, in all you do" I don't know if you knew me but I will always remember that moment and how I cherished those words to this day. Thank you for being a kind caring man who inspired so many to be better people then even we imagined. God Bless you and may Jesus protect your family in this time of loss.

Mr. Moden was my history teacher in high school back in 2000, he was an awesome teacher, had a great sense of humor with a wonderful personality, he always had us laughing!!!! I will never forget I had to take my final History exam the morning of my graduation and I was so nervous, he had called me at home later that day to let me know that I had passed and was gonna walk across the stage and receive my diploma. He was a great man, he loved his family very much, he always talked about them, he will be missed! RIP Mr. Moden

To the Moden family, I wanted you all to know how truly blessed I personally felt to have your father, and grandfather as a teacher at West Seneca East. He was such a wonderful, funny, thought provoking man who was geniunely interested in the youth he taught. I will always remember him as the person that taught me the most, not just about subjects in school, but about life.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Moden, you were such an inspiring teacher and I know we never appreciated you enough. You were so positive and so interested in history it was amazing. I never played in Texas, but you know you would never catch me there without a fiddle. I will miss you.
