MURRAY - Virginia Ann "Gigi" Age 100, of Orchard Park passed away peacefully at her home Saturday evening, October 15, 2022. Gigi was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on August 29, 1922, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Mitrano) Montuori. Raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, she graduated from Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts and later attended Tufts University-Jackson College in Boston. After college, Gigi worked as a clinical research microbiologist at Fort Devens, Ayer, Massachusetts. She married Robert P. Murray in 1956 and enjoyed 54 years of marriage while raising three sons. Aside from being an avid golfer during her younger years, she enjoyed playing bridge and attending football games as a season ticket holder of the Buffalo Bills. Gigi was also a former member of the Orchard Park Garden Club; East Aurora and Orchard Park Country Clubs and the Crag Burn Golf Club. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert P. Murray; and brother, Frank Montuori Jr. She is survived by her three children, Peter (Colleen), John, and David (Carrie Smith) Murray; and four grandchildren, Marina, Chelsea, Caitlyn, and Maxim Murray. Arrangements are being handled by the FE BROWN AND SONS FUNERAL HOME and Nativity of Our Lord R.C .Church in Orchard Park. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Orchard Park. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Home Connections Palliative Care of Buffalo or a charity of your own choosing.
