John & l together were inducted into the military 8 March 1967. We were stationed together (actually we were bunkmates) at Fort Benning, Georgia, Company E, 8th Batallion, 2nd Training Brigade, 3rd platoon, 2nd squad, for 8 weeks, after which we were sent our separate ways. After our service completion, we did touch base once when l bumped into him when he was employed at l believe was either Linde or Praxair in the early 70’s. Although our relationship was quite short term, l AM pleased that l was able to have him as a part of my life!

John's passion for skiing and love of mankind ignited a spark in me over the past several years. While I could not keep up with him, we always had enthusiastic conversations and lunches in the ski lodge !

Q: How did you meet John?
A: I knew John as a boy growing up on Oak St. in Buffalo. I can remember the boxing ring in his back yard and the times we had in Boy Scouts.
We will meet again John in a better place. May you rest in Peace.
