Richard D. Saunders, Sr., age 89, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Elderwood Health Care at Lakewood in Hamburg, New York.
Mr. Saunders was born in Athol Springs, NY the son of the late Atwell C. and the late Sophia C. (Ahrens) Saunders. He married Rita McMahon.
He is survived by his wife: Rita (McMahon) Saunders, his children and grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00PM - 4:00PM & 7:00pm - 9:00pm at F. E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 6575 East Quaker Street, Orchard Park, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 9:00 at F. E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 6575 East Quaker Street, Orchard Park.
Memorials may be made to the VFW Post 1419 on Lakeview Road in Hamburg, New York.
