Kurt, sorry to see your mom has passed. I remember what a nice lady she was.
My mom passed in 1988 of breast cancer and my dad died 4 weeks later.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991 and remained in remission for 17 years. I had a recurrrence in 2008 and have been through continual chemotherapy since February.
You learn to take one day at a time. You should feel lucky you had your mom for so long. I miss mine every day. Luckily I have had a husband that has loved and supported me for 40+ years, three wonderful children asnd three beautiful randchildren. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sorrowful time.
