Donna and I contracted polio about the same time in 1954. I was only 5 at the time, but I remember what a beautiful and loving lady she was. Eventually we both went to what is now the Helen Hayes Rehabilitation Hospital in West Haverstraw NY. I will always be grateful for the way she helped me through those difficult months away from home and family. My deepest sympathies to the entire family.
