Lawrence "Shorty" Ellis, age 97, of Orchard Park, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Van Duyn Center of Syracuse, NY. Mr. Ellis was born November 9, 1916 in Aurora, NY. He is the son of the late Herman G. and the late Ida (Gerken) Ellis. Shorty was pre-deceased by his wife Evelyn (Gerwitz).
Loving father of Janet (Thomas) Gibbons and the late David E. Ellis; grandfather of Colleen, Tracy and Gregory, and also survived by many other beloved family members and friends.
Services will be held Saturday : Prayers at the funeral home at 10:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church on South Buffalo Rd. in Orchard Park, NY at 11:0am.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 5pm - 8:00pm at the Funeral Home.
