Though seldom able to be with her in person, Aunt Doris will always live on in my heart. She was a woman full of fun, adventure, and compassion and am grateful for having known her.

I am so saddened by Doris's passing. She (and Herm) were the best kind of neighbors -- the kind who were generous with their time, companionship, warmth, and laughter. Plus, they were always around to assist anyone who needed a little something extra. One of my fondest memories was when Doris found out I was sick, and later showed up at my apartment with the nicest dinner tray and loving words of healing. Doris was a bright light in the world, and now lives amongst the stars. Rest in peace, Doris. You will be missed.

My condolences to Mrs. Bowman's family. I was a neighbor of Doris and Herm in OP. She was such a kind, sweet soul. They were wonderful neighbors- always sharing hospitality and pleasant conversation as well as a beautiful flower garden. They seemed to truly adore each other. My faith is that they have been reunited with each other and their beloved Creator.

Doris was a wonderful wife/companion to my father, Herman Bowman. Her wonderful sense of humor, quiet laugh, thoughtful gifts and notes will never be forgotten. I will truly miss her and yet I know she is with our Lord and in a better place. I Love you Doris!
