Dear Celeste, Sydney, Abigail, and Aidan,
Randy was such a wonderful person and devoted father and husband. I cherish the memories of talking about golf, family, and life during my golf lessons with him. Those were special moments spent with an excellent teacher and friend. Randy made golf fun, provided encouragement and always found a way to improve your game.
During those lessons he spoke very lovingly and proudly about all his children and the smile on his face as he talked demonstrated the joy he felt. It was obvious how much he cared for his family and how much pleasure he got from being a father.
Ginny and I are deeply saddened and think of Randy constantly as we go through each day. We were so lucky to have him in our lives and appreciate all that he represented as a person, friend and teacher. We send our love and have you in our thoughts and prayers.

Celeste and kids, I am so very sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through. You had a lot of wonderful years together. You had a wonderful husband and, father for your kids. I have felt nothing but sadness for all of you since last Sunday morning when Mom got that call from Aunt Joanne. You are very fortunate to have had such a wonderful man. I'm sure Randy and Gram are together in heaven. Heaven is a much better place than this crappy world is. I will see you on Saturday. We love you all! Your cousin Crystal

Celeste and family,
As with Darrell, I remember meeting Randy as soon as he arrived on campus as a Freshman at Methodist back in 1986. From our first meeting, I knew we would be friends. I have many fond memories of being on the golf team with him, next door neighbors, and the many fun and engaging conversations we had during our college years.
Randy had a special spirit about him. He made my college years better, and I was proud to know him as a friend seeing all the positive impacts he made in so many lives over the years.
Randy Shaw was a truly good man, and I am very saddened to hear the news about his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Celeste and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I still remember the first day Randy and I met in August 1986, it was freshman orientation at Methodist College. We became friends that very first day, and through those college years, Randy, "Big" John, and I would be together.
Celeste, the day he met you he came to me and told me you were going to be the one. He was totally in love with you from that first day and you were the love of his life. The two of you were great for each other and accomplished so much together because of your love for each other. Your family is a living tribute and legacy, he so loved all of you.
Though the years and life put miles between us and days between our conversations, Randy, you always remained one of my best friends. The rounds of golf, college experiences, the visits, and conversations about how are lives are progressing will be missed. I will always love you my friend.
