BARTLETT - David J.

Of Elma, November 12th, 2017, at age 77. Beloved husband of 30 years to Penny L. Pennington. Also survived by 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Father of the late Michael Bartlett. Brother of the late Connie Smith and Stephen Bartlett. No prior visitation. Dave came to Buffalo in 1977 to assume responsibilities in the Operations area of Marine Midland Bank (HSBC), where he retired as Vice President in 1993. Dave's skills and love for the game of tennis led him to meet Penny Pennington, who became his tennis partner, best friend and ultimately his wife in 1986. Dave was a very affable, down to earth and caring man whose honesty and integrity were widely appreciated. Born with only one kidney that failed over time and needed to be replaced with a transplant, Dave was eternally grateful for the exceptional care he received from Dr. Rocco Venuto, Director of Transplant and Kidney Care at ECMC and his daughter Lisa Venuto, PA.
