When we first met Betty she was president of the Board at The Bristol Home. My husband, Mike Maloney, was the administrator. We were very young and she took us under her wing. When our young daughter broke her nose, Betty sent a book which we still have. Many years later, Mike took Betty under his wing when Doug and Betty made Fox Run their home. As Mike's wife, I was the recipient of the joy that Betty brought to life itself.
I imagine Mike and Betty chatting together up in Heaven and of course, both of them smiling as Doug tries to make some jokes. I feel so fortunate that their lives touched ours.
