Jan and I send our condolences and prayers to Brett and Aemy and their families on the passing of their mother Carol.
Jan and I got to know Carol during her 20+ year relationship with my brother Tim Poynton who preceded her in passing on April 28th, 2016. We stayed with Tim and Carol at their house every time we came to Buffalo for family events. She was a terrific, welcoming and friendly hostess.
As she was the Orchard Park Town Clerk and Receiver of Taxes for many years, she and I … and Tim … shared an interest and long conversations about local politics.
She and Tim were avid golfers and played together often
Funny story … to me … whenever I would come to Buffalo my first stop from the airport was Abbott Road Texas Red Hots. Tim would meet me and often Carol would join us. While Tim and I gorged on 3 Up … Carol would order a grilled cheese sandwich. We couldn’t cajole her into enjoying one of our favorite Buffalo “delicacies”.
Carol was an avid and voracious reader. She and Jan always enjoyed discussing the books they had read.
We enjoyed her company. She will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers to the family, friends and co-workers of Caroles.
I worked briefly at the Town office under Toni Cudney and met Carole then. She always had a friendly smile when I would step into her office and that is what I will remember of her.

Carol was such a dear friend to me during our crafting and bowling years and all the time our children were growing up together.
She was a kind and wonderful person. Even as time went by and we didn't see each other as often as before, we were able to reconnect when we did get together with .our craft group for a reunion.
My husband, Romy, and I offer our condolences to all of her family.
Sincerely,
Sue Punzal

Carol and I used to play volleyball with the adult recreation on Monday nights for many years. One night we had the giggles so bad we could barely play. The director split us up, but we were still laughing hard from the different courts. We were almost banned from haviving too much fun and laughed about it even more. We had so many good times throughout the years. I'll miss her.

Carol, you were one of the strongest, kindest, generous person I have ever known, to me you were a dear friend and loving classmate. We were separated by distance, but ever time I was able to come back home it was like we never skipped a beat, please know you will always be a cherished memory in my heart, God Bless You and your family.
