Mom, No words can express how I feel right now. I have your in Heaven smiling down on us telling us to stop making such a fuss. You were so beautiful inside and out no one can compare. My name is Lisa and my mother was Maureen’s best friend since high school. Maureen was my Godmother and my aunt by choice. My memories with her are endless and I can honestly say the best ones from my childhood. I thank her for that and I thank my cousins for sharing her. Maureen always had a full house especially with that pool and the endless parties. She was kind and caring opening her home to children in need and loving them like her own. I loved the fact that she was obsessed with Facebook and the little dings in the middle of the night made me smile knowing she was thinking of me. Now if you were really lucky you would receive a handwritten note and a $2.00 bill in the mail with that goofy smile face on the front. I saved all those $2.00 bills and now that she has gone home I realize what they meant. You see a $2.00 bill is unique and hard to find. It is valuable and increases it worth in time. I feel that is the message she wanted to send to us when really those are all the qualities that made her who she was. She was unique because she never gave up on anyone. It is hard to find a person so willing to give up so much of her time to help others and the value part just reminds me of all the wonderful life lessons she taught us. May we all honor her by being kind and accepting, making time for others and by celebrating everyday. My dear aunt I will miss you dearly until we meet again! Carmela

Dearest Santino and Family, So sorry to hear about your lovely grandmother. Our entire family loved this lady. Thank you for having us over years ago to introduce her to our family, and to meet your grandfather, Michael, and your sister, Dominque, and your Uncle. We enjoyed our evening with each of them. Whenever we saw Maureen she would greet us so warmly, and she always had a story that made us laugh. Heaven knows how she loved you and her entire little family.
