Steve was in his 20’s, His Company replaced our roof I think was how we met.
My family shared his passion for the automobile. Dad raced them, Steve collected them.
Dad is in the car business. Steve is a contractor. We live in a 100 year old house. Perfect… Sure.
The two passionate about motorsports also start trading cars/cash for this old house restore. The start of a four decade friendship.
Old houses are a pain in the A. Steve’s work was always excellent, I hope the car’s in trade were worth it. Steve never complained. He is bigger than that.
Steve’s energy and character matched his size, with wit and a joke, his presence would brighten your day.
Over the decades, regular social visits became the norm, and so did the upgrades to the house and another car in Steve’s driveway.
Steve is a Vietnam Veteran. A smart, trade skilled, generous, passionate man with kindness driving his soul.
A bar we all should meet. A friend I will miss.
A better and fortune person I am to have known him.
