No-one could ask for a better mother-in-law than Mary. In all the years I knew her, over a quarter of a century, we never had an argument. Mary lead by example. She was a strong but gentle woman with very clear boundaries and she respected the boundaries of others.
I know she prayed for me and I believe her decades of prayers had a great part in my eventual conversion to her beloved Catholic Church. She never said a word, but her example and prayers must have spoken volumes. I am so very grateful that I was able to become Catholic several years before her passing so that we could share some of our love of Catholicism together. We had many long conversations about the Church, her youth, her life, in the past few years. I am so very grateful to God for the quality time that he gave me with her before she passed.
I will miss Mary very much but I know that she will be with me in spirit and I am truly thankful for this gift. I know you are enjoying Heaven with your sisters Mary.
