I woud like to express my condolences to the Desmond family on Maura's death. Our families have been linked by our fathers' long legal partnership. It grew out of their friendship growing up on Buffalo's West Side and their education together in high school, college and, I believe, law school. There may have even been a subtle competition between the children of both men which I candidly concede the Desmond kids won. I have only been in contact with Michael through the years. However, with Maura's death it seems we have lost a member of our extended family.
I hope God will sustain you in your loss.
