Obituary of Grace W. Tutton

TUTTON- Grace Woodall (nee Smith) April 9, 2020 at age 93, of Orchard Park, New York, after contracting the COVID-19 coronavirus. Grace Woodall Smith, was a first generation American born to English parents, Albert and Irene Smith, and shared her childhood with a brother David, and two sisters, Mary and Joan. She was the beloved wife of the late Duncan Tutton, and former wife of the late Joseph D'Angelo, DDS. She was the mother of five children, Judith (Thomas) Vassie, Victoria D'Angelo, Esq. (Paul Comeau, Esq.), Joseph D'Angelo, Jr. (Mary, RN), Kevin D'Angelo, DDS (Beth DDS) and Terrence (Dianne) D'Angelo, and a step-mother to Eugene (Lorraine) D'Angelo, Cynthia (Thom) Speakman, Nancy Harris, Kathy (Joe) Cox and William (Alvaro) Tutton. She was survived by eight D'Angelo grandchildren, Melanie Andres, PA (David), Kathryn D'Angelo, Esq., Chelsea D'Angelo, William D'Angelo, DDS ( Elizabeth DDS), Alexandra D'Angelo, DO, Philip D'Angelo, Matthew D'Angelo, Michael D'Angelo, and six D'Angelo step-grandchildren, Murray D'Angelo, MD (Gerlinde MD), John Comeau, Kristina Comeau Wiesmore, Steven Comeau, Kimberly Vassie Krieger and Christine Vassie Kesterson. She was overjoyed to be a great-grandmother to three, twins Eli and Olivia D'Angelo and the most recent addition, Grace Juliet Andres, born just two weeks prior to her passing. She is also survived by her sister Joan (Richard) Steussy, several Tutton grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Grace drew on her deep compassion and kind heart to become a registered nurse, having graduated with honors from Trocaire College. She found other ways to serve including tutoring elementary school children, volunteering at her local library, Orchard Park Symphony, Hamburg Garden Club and staying active in her local church, The Orchard Park Community Church. She traveled extensively to England, France, Italy, Hong Kong, St Martin and many locations throughout the United States. The family will receive friends in Potter's Park (behind F.E. Brown Sons Funeral Home Inc.) 6575 E. Quaker St. Orchard Park, NY. A celebration of life memorial service at The Orchard Park Community Church will be On Friday August 28, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Orchard Park Community Church or a charity of your choice.
