James Jay Zolczer, age 76, of Orchard Park, June 14, 1943 - April 3, 2020. Beloved husband of 52 years to Alexis (Spoto) Zolczer. James\ was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts to the late James and Marjorie (Patten) Zolczer.
James graduated from Lafayette High School in Buffalo and went on to graduate from Michigan State University with a B. S. in science communication. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. A gifted writer and professional photographer, he owned his own studio until retirement. James was a Public Relations Director for Erie County and D'Youville College in Buffalo, past president of the Public Relations Association of Western New York, a member of the Buffalo Geological Society, Penn Dixie, Niagara Frontier Relic Hunters, Rotary Club of Buffalo, East Aurora Fish and Game and the Tyrian Lodge #925. James loved nature and the outdoors, he enjoyed travelling, collecting gems and minerals and digging for fossils.
He had a wonderful sense of humor, an optimistic outlook on life, a kind and gentle heart and an outgoing personality. He will be missed immensely by his family and friends.
Services were held privately at the convenience of the family.
