Katie was a silly, happy-go-luck, funny, smart, kind, hard worker on the OPHS swim team when I was the coach. Katie, always put a smile on my face. I will always remember the time, after she and Lauren had graduated, I saw them at the OP Ice Cream Social. The two sisters, it wasn’t often that you didn’t see one without the other, stopped and had a fantastic conversation with me, bringing me up to date on what they were doing with themselves. They said the nicest things about the team and their teammates, it really made me proud.
All the pictures I am seeing of the team, show Katie and her best buddy Cassie making silly faces. Katie always had a beautiful smile. So many memories I will keep in my heart.
Barb and Lauren - stay strong, Katie and your parents (Grandparents) will always be watching over you! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!
