Gertrude E. Bailey, age 85, of Orchard Park died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Elderwood Health Care At Lakewood, Hamburg.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Walter and the late Janet (Anderson) Abplanalp.
Gertrude "Gee" was born in Buffalo in 1925. She graduated from South Park High School in 1943, Bryant and Stratton Legal Secretary and Tenacre School of Christian Science Nursing. "Gee" was know for her smile, kindness, compassion and caregiving.
A Memorial Service will be held in May. Memorials may be made in her memory to Hospice Buffalo Inc. 225 Como Park Boulevard, Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
